There are no coincidences, are you in tune with the universe around you?

Is it a coincidence when we meet the exact person we need at the exact moment we need each other?

So, this topic is a little out there I know, however it is real, people. If you are in tune with the universe and yourself for that matter, you will be amazed at how many answers smack you in the face. I didn’t always see it because I think I was struggling with myself, my journey and my direction. In summary I was lost and confused. There was a stretch of time where I felt like the energy and effort was immense, without seeing returns on my investment. At this point it was so hard to stay on track, to find my path and the motivation to keep moving forward. I realise now this was part of my journey to self-discovery. I had many lessons to learn and I am sure there are many more to come! Here are the 3 biggest lessons for me:

  1. Be more flexible and adaptable. Things very rarely go exactly to plan. Actually, almost never! (Old Tanya used to have heart palpitations at this thought) I was scared of change. Why? I can’t really remember anymore, I just know I had to let go to move forward. Now I embrace change, it is exciting, different and full of new possibilities that can help take me and my business to the next level.
  2. Change my outlook on confrontation. I am not going to lie, this was really hard! I had negative connotations associated with confrontation. Change your mindset and change your world. This is so true, I am a business consultant, people engage my services so that we create a plan to propel their business forward. This involves honest feedback and truthful conversations that can often be confronting. So how did I change this? The answer was believing in myself. I pride myself on good business practices, I am always kind, caring and committed to delivering success outcomes to my clients. So, the lesson is when you come from a place of truth and good intentions, confrontation doesn’t have a negative connotation. It earns respect and contributes to success.
  3. The biggest one is self-worth and I am telling you that this is an ongoing battle, however I am constantly working on it and that is the important thing. My business is growing rapidly, and I have to remember that hasn’t happened by accident. I do my best to believe and back myself 100%. This is a constant work in progress, but the most important thing is to be true to myself. People are constantly helping me along my journey, it is so important to give back and help others. Help people when you can, not because you have too, but because you want to.

I know you are wondering how this all links back to there are no coincidences. Well once started to embrace these things, weird things started to happen, I could ‘see the matrix’, and no I am not crazy lol. I saw things differently, I noticed things that I hadn’t seen before and as I needed things to take the next step, they happened with ease and grace, where I previously felt like I was in a dark tunnel and the light that I saw was the train coming. I had been in conflict with myself. This can be hard to understand unless you have gone through it yourself. Once I stopped fighting myself, acknowledged what I needed to learn, took action and made the changes things became much easier.

Storytime!

So here are a few examples of the universe providing. When I needed to boost my newly created website higher up the Google rankings, I knew what needed to be done but was too time poor to do it. We had a very old cat who used to flop in front of people on the footpath for a pat. Sadly he died and soon after someone knocked on my door to see if he was ok, as his absence was sorely missed. We got chatting, only to discover that she solves Google problems for others!

I wanted some marketing videos made for my website, so I checked out Fiverr, a freelancing website that offers just about any task done for yep, a fiver. I was hoping for the best as a quality outcome isn’t always guaranteed on these forums. When I contacted someone, it turned out that she is the most amazing videographer! She was using that platform for a brief stint to generate some work for her newly created business. What I didn’t know until recently is that she worked in large scale TV production in California and had only recently started working for herself. Seriously what are the chances of finding a professional expert in a forum like that? We are now friends, talk regularly and she produces sensational work for many of my clients.

Still don’t see it? Well, the list goes on! One day is was pouring with rain and I had my two young kids in the car. My tyre picked up a nail and it was completely flat. A random stranger flagged me down as I was coming out of my parking bay and proceeded to change the tyre for me. We were really blessed as I wasn’t strong enough to get the bolts undone myself.

This could be argued as just good fortune, but things seem to happen, and people cross my path at the right time. This may have always been the case and I couldn’t get out of my own way to see it, I don’t really know. What I do know is that I am far more open and observant now. Please remember (and this is really important!), you get out what you put in. None of this happens without hard work and some sacrifice. You need to know what you want and put in the hard yards to get there. I also believe that you need to do good things. Do them not because you have to, but because you want to. Sometimes it is the smallest gesture of kindness that can make the biggest difference to someone.
